French Onion Soup

Don't go past the taste and simplicity of this French classic. Rediscover how delicious this soup is, and easy it is to make.

  1. Sauté onions in oil for 4-5 minutes or until transparent.
  2. Add flour and sugar, mix well.
  3. Add stock and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until onion is totally softened.
  4. Serve with crusty bread or toast.


Variation

  1. Place grated cheese on toast and grill.
  2. Cut into small squares and serve with soup

  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 6 cups beef or vegetable stock
